Sports bets in Washington DC fell by 25 per cent to $14.5 million in September as the leading licensees all reported wagering declines.
American Wagering had the highest handle in September at $5.3 million, but this was a drop of 27 per cent on the previous year. The lottery’s GambetDC was just behind with wagers of $5.2 million, a decrease of 13 per cent.
