Sales of the Pennsylvania Lottery grew by 5 per cent to $459.6 million in September, benefitting from the increasing Powerball jackpot during the month.
Powerball sales more than trebled year-on-year to $47.3 million, the second-best monthly total of 2023.
Retails sales of instant win scratch-offs fell by 8 per cent to $240.7 million, which was the lowest total in 2023.
Across all retail games, the Pennsylvania Lottery’s sales increased by 3 per cent to $379.9 million in September.
