The Taiwan Welfare Lottery broke its sales record in 2023, posting a 26 per cent increase to NT$162.51 billion (€4.82 billion).
2023 is the first year that annual sales have risen above NT$150 billion and the Taiwan Welfare Lottery comfortably met its sales target of NT$148.5 billion.
The Welfare Lottery paid out NT$106.15 billion in prizes to winning players in 2023, up from NT$83.48 billion in 2022.
