Sports wagers in Virginia grew by 14 per cent to $5.59 billion in 2023, as handle jumped by 26 per cent to $633.2 million in December.
Online sports handle rose by 24 per cent to $625.5 million in the closing month of 2023, while retail betting at Virginia’s casinos was $7.7 million.
The overall sports gross win was up by 25 per cent to $63.6 million in December, at a margin of 10.0 per cent.
