Germany's gambling tax revenue dropped by 2 per cent to €651.2 million in the first quarter of 2024, with only the country’s lottery tax showing growth.
Lottery tax was up by 3 per cent to €475.9 million in Q1 2024 and accounted for 73 per cent of quarterly tax revenue in Germany.
Sports betting tax fell by 4 per cent to €107.6 million and taxes on horse racing fell by 16 per cent to €1.3 million.
