The Illinois Lottery reported a 20 per cent increase in sales to $377.4 million in March, with strong performances from several games.
Instant win sales were at their highest level for two years after increasing by 10 per cent to $207.7 million, accounting for 55 per cent of monthly lottery sales.
Mega Millions had a sales increase of 138 per cent to $29.4 million, while Powerball sales more than trebled to $28.2 million.
