This week sees the release of new slot titles from Lightning Box Games, Quickspin, and Tom Horn Gaming, a virtual sports deal in Africa for Global Bet, as well as BetVictor's free-to-play football betting game.
Lightning Box Games
The Sydney based casino games developer has launched its Astro Cat game in Europe for the first time with operator Mr Green.
Astro Cat is an Asian-themed 5-reel, 1296 ways slot which uses the supplier’s patented Reelfecta super reel to give players 16 chances to win on the middle reel, as well as a Mega Spin where all 16 positions are Wild.
The game is popular in US land-based casinos, including the Cosmopolitan and Treasure Island in Las Vegas, and will now be available online to Mr Green players for an exclusive two-week period before going on general release.
“Astro Cat is a really great game that has enjoyed phenomenal success in land-based casinos, particularly in the US,” said Lightning Box managing director and co-founder Peter Causley. “We’re very excited about taking it online in Europe, firstly through Mr Green and then more broadly across the whole market in the coming months. I’m sure players will love the design of the game, as well as our innovative Reelfecta super reel.”
Playtech-owned slots specialist Quickspin has released Dragon Shrine, a new slot title which includes an innovative double stack free spin feature.
The five-reel, 40-line slot breathes fire into the game through free spins, with a double stack feature that fills the left and right reels with gold dragons.
A stack of dragons in reel one unleashes the Dragon Stack Re-spin feature, during which all Dragon and Wild symbols are locked in place and three re-spins initiated. Any additional Dragon or Wild symbols that drop during the re-spin are also locked in place for the duration of the feature.
“Dragon Shrine is another great addition to our portfolio of slots games, and is a modern take on a classic theme,” said Quickspin CEO Daniel Lindberg. “The team has done a great job with this game, and we believe players will be thrilled at the chance to tame the dragon and unlock free spins.”
Dragon Shrine follows the release of several other recent Quickspin games including Gold Lab and Spinions Beach Party, via its own platform which was created in partnership with Relax Gaming.
Casino games developer Habanero has released its latest HTML5 slot Jugglenaut, which is based on a dark and sinister circus act.
The 50 line, 5x3-reel HTML5 slot features a Jugglenaut ringmaster who throws knives, axes and chainsaws into the air. The longer he juggles, the more the player is rewarded.
“The game is one of our most attractive high resolution games to date,” said Habanero’s head of sales Daniel Long. “As we expand into new markets it is important to provide our operating partners with content that has universal appeal, and we’re confident Jugglenaut will be an absolute blast.”
Jugglenaut is the latest release from Habanero following the launch of Oceans Call, Gangsters, Roman Empire, and Fa Cai Shen in recent months.

Gibraltar-based gaming operator BetVictor has launched a new free-to-play game, Golden Goal, which gives customers the chance to win up to £100,000 on the English Premier League.
Following on from the success of the Euro 2016 Million Pound Goal campaign this summer, the weekly free-to-play game asks players to predict the minute and scorer of the opening goal in a pre-selected match, normally the late televised kick-off on a Sunday afternoon.
The promotion, which will be supported by a TV advertising campaign, will start on Sunday October 23rd when Manchester United face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The first goal will have a prize pool of £100,000. If there is no winner the amount will rollover and increase by £25,000, before reverting back to £25,000 each week once the jackpot has been won.
“The Golden Goal provides new and existing customers with a free opportunity to win a serious sum of money on just one goal, every week,” said Eoin Ryan, head of sportsbook product for BetVictor. “We are confident the product will prove very popular both in attracting new customers and retaining existing ones and it will bring another level of excitement to the weekend’s football.”
