This week has seen new games released by Play’n GO, SG Digital and Microgaming, platform integrations for Digitain and Red Rake Gaming, and the highest ever jackpot payout by PokerStars Casino on an in-house developed game.

Play’n GO

Swedish casino games developer Play’n GO is spreading football fever ahead of this summer’s World Cup with its latest online slot release Hugo Goal.

It marks the third collaboration between Play’n GO and Hugo Games, following the successful launch of the Hugo and Hugo 2 slot titles.

The new game is a 3-reel slot based around popular 90’s TV troll Hugo and sees him entering the world of football.

“Hugo has such a diverse world of recognisable characters and he fits into so many different scenarios, it wasn’t easy to decide who we wanted to star in the game alongside him,” explained Play’n GO game producer Tamas Ujszaszi. “In the end we settled for Aksfylia and Don Croco, his main adversaries; we also introduced Goat, who is one of the older characters from Hugo’s world, to give a classic feel.”

Play'n GO chief executive Johan Törnqvist added: “We wanted to build on our success with Hugo and release Hugo Goal to operators at a perfect time, ahead of this year’s World Cup.

“This game will appeal to a large player base. Play’n GO are looking forward to an exciting summer with lots of entertaining football, and the game will offer some alternative fun between matches. We can combine players’ interest in Hugo and the tournament, giving our partners plenty of cross-sell opportunities.”

In related news, the supplier has signed a multi-year content deal with The Stars Group’s PokerStars Casino.

The agreement will see the provider supply its full suite of games via a direct integration with the PokerStars Casino platform, with a key focus on expanding their slots offering in regulated markets.

Play’n GO’s content has been certified in several new jurisdictions in recent months, including Italy, Spain, Denmark and the UK, with plans to enter Portugal and Romania in the future.

The integration process is expected to be completed soon with Play’n GO’s going live on, .eu and domains by the start of the World Cup later this month. The operator’s .it, .es and .dk are expected to follow in Q3.

“The Stars Group has seen PokerStars Casino grow considerably in recent years and we’re delighted to be adding our content to their offering,” said Törnqvist. “Our games are certified across more than 15 countries and with our varied, quality range of titles, we’ve confirmed our position as the supplier of choice to operators in regulated territories.”

PokerStars Casino managing director Bo Wänghammar said: “PokerStars Casino has focused on improving its content offering, including through the integration of third party suppliers. We’re looking forward to working with Play’n GO to provide some great new games to our players on web, desktop, and mobile.”

SG Digital

Scientific Games’ SG Digital division has announced the latest slot release from its Betdigital studio with the launch of Ambassador.

Ambassador pairs a fruit-themed aesthetic with simple, fun gameplay, creating a traditional slot and arcade experience based on classic 1980s slots for mobile and desktop.

“Ambassador re-introduces historic UK-style gaming online, with quick gameplay and a blast-from-the-past experience,” said SG Digital chief creative officer Tom Wood. “It’s a great title to re-engage experienced players and introduces newcomers to classic gaming.”

Isle of Man-based games developer Microgaming has introduced a new and interactive way for players to win prizes with the launch of its Poke The Guy game.

The fully mobile-optimized game is the first of its kind for the supplier and sees players aim to take down The Guy, a giant monster terrorising the city.

Players can select from an arsenal of weapons to catapult into the Guy, from a yellow rubber duck to a lethal piranha. Each object represents a range of bet values, giving players the freedom to select their weapon and wager of choice.

With a simple tap on the electrified slingshot, the object will be randomly propelled in the giant’s direction, with every item launched counting as a bet.

The Guy will try to evade the projectiles, stomping on famous landmarks as he randomly appears on the map, each time donning a more comical pose than the last. Landing a successful hit on The Guy will award players a random payout with a chance to score multipliers of up to 500x the bet.

Red Rake Gaming

Malta-based gaming supplier Relax Gaming has agreed a deal to add content from Red Rake Gaming to its platform.

Red Rake’s portfolio of slot, video poker and video bingo games will be made available to operators via Relax’s Silver Bullet platform, including titles such as Judges Rule the Show!, The Asp of Cleopatra, and Montecarlo Glamour.

“This deal allows us to extend the depth of offering on the Silver Bullet platform, and we look forward to taking all this content to our clients,” said Relax Gaming CEO Daniel Eskola. “We are impressed by Red Rake’s content and we are sure their unique products will be enjoyed by our network of customers.

Red Rake Gaming head of business development Carlos Fernández Aguilar said: “This partnership will help us grow our audience and we are excited to have Relax Gaming’s expertise on board.

“We have a growing number of high-quality games to take to the market and Relax Gaming’s high-quality platform and its impressive portfolio of first class operators will play an important role in distributing our games to a broader customer base.”

LuckyStreak will provide a range of live dealer table games such as blackjack, roulette, and multiplayer baccarat streamed from its studio in Riga, Latvia, with dealers covering the English, Russian, Turkish, Italian and Spanish languages.

PokerStars Casino

PokerStars Casino has paid out a US$3.05m jackpot on its Millionaires Island progressive slot game.

The latest $3,047,961 jackpot win takes the total number of millionaires created by PokerStars Casino to twelve, and is the highest ever to have been paid out on a PokerStars Casino in-house developed game.

The previous multi-million jackpot to hit on PokerStars Casino was $3.3m on NetEnt’s Mega Fortune game in March, which is currently the largest online win at PokerStars Casino.

“Paying out our largest ever jackpot from one of our exclusive, in-house progressive million-dollar jackpot slot games is also a huge win for PokerStars Casino,” said Bo Wänghammar, managing director of PokerStars Casino. “We’re focused on introducing more new, innovative and exciting games which allow us to create more winning moments for our customers and add to the twelve millionaires we have already made.”

The player, known as ‘Anchor72’, won the jackpot on the operator’s Millionaires Island game, a $1m minimum guaranteed jackpot slot which is linked to the same progressive jackpot prize pool as Stars Mega Spin and Matchday Millions.
