The long-awaited legalisation of slots and exchange betting in Spain has moved a step closer after two Ministerial Orders drafted by Spanish regulator the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) were leaked.
Both products are expected to be taxed at a rate of between 5 and 12 per cent of net income, and while a new category will be created to regulate exchange betting, slots will be regulated under the ‘other games’ licence category.
