Delasport sportsbook product owner Svilen Alipiev provides an insider’s perspective on Delasport’s roadmap for 2025 and shares how the company keeps innovating year after year to help operators grow smarter and faster in a competitive landscape

What is SuperPot?

SuperPot is a new cutting-edge product that we have recently integrated and started to offer. It essentially brings a jackpot functionality to sports betting, but with a few twists. It adds a new way to bet on sport events, players can win a tangible prize and there’s a “social element”, where bettors can create a sense of competition among themselves.

Regarding operators, obviously having players who are enjoying themselves on their platform can bring new ones, which means increasing revenue. What initially made us notice SuperPot is the fact that we’ve been thinking that sports betting is somewhat plain. There aren’t many new ways to spice-up the player experience. SuperPot promised something new, so we tried it and liked it, because it delivered on that promise.

What would you say are SuperPot’s key advantages?

It fits perfectly to regulated markets, and it’s being certified now in several jurisdictions like United Kingdom, Sweden, The Netherlands, Denmark and Ontario. The great mixing capabilities of this product are definitely a game-changer. You can combine multiple markets, sports, or even leagues in a single pot.

For example, you may set a pot to contain football with ‘over/under’ and ‘handicap’ and in the same pot – basketball with ‘to win’ market. Furthermore, new market types and sports can be added by operator request.

Additionally, there aren’t many sports jackpot products out there that offer American football. Most have football (soccer) and tennis, while SuperPot offers 6 sports: the aforementioned football (soccer), American football, and tennis, as well as baseball, ice hockey, and basketball.

Something else exciting that we know is in the pipeline for SuperPot is the ability for a pot to be visualized on multiple brands for the same operator. Meaning, bettors participate through the website or app they usually use, but they’re in for a common prize among several brands. This means that the prize may get way larger than it would be if restricted to one brand only.

What was the decisive factor when considering whether to integrate SuperPot in Delasport’s Sportsbook solution?

When looking for a product to integrate or a feature to develop at Delasport we always consider the level of innovation it offers. This is what impressed us with SuperPot. Not many suppliers provide sports jackpots, but even those who have one don’t have such a polished product. I have already listed some of the competitive advantages, but there are more worth mentioning.

For example, the customization SuperPot offers also played a key role in our decision-making. Every image for each pot can be different – set by the operator. There are default images, but they can be overwritten with something closer to the brand’s feel and look or tailored for a specific event or campaign.

One more thing that I should mention is the complete transparency and visibility. Operators can see how tickets were placed, every ticket’s history, its currency, and much more. In fact, the reports are so detailed that they include over 40 columns of info, soon to be 80. Of course, each of them can be hidden or displayed according to the operator’s need or preference.

In addition to that, while setting up a new pot, the brand rep sees the maximum potential winnings and commissions they’d pay out, while after the pot is over, they have a detailed breakdown of who won how much.

To summarize our impressions of SuperPot, I’ll quickly list a few more factors: significantly more markets than the industry standard, the option for combining multiple markets from a single event – pretty much a betbuilder inside SuperPot, notifications, a Standings tab, and more. All in all, SuperPot won us over with its unprecedented flexibility and the many ways it goes beyond what’s already on the market.

You mentioned the Standings tab. The leaderboard dynamics in SuperPot are intense. How do you think players feel when they’re neck and neck with others?

I know for a fact that players are excited to have the ‘Standings’ tab and get real-time insight on where their tickets are in the ranking. Bettors who engage with SuperPot like the element of luck, but we shouldn’t forget many of them are also sports lovers, meaning they love competing.

What’s even more fun is that they sometimes get their friends to enter the same pot, too, and compete with people they know from before.

The sharing of jackpots among top scorers is an interesting twist. Do you believe it will be appealing to players, or do they prefer the ‘winner takes all’ approach?

It is indeed an interesting twist. It’s important to note that this is optional – the operator makes the decision whether to make a pot to be a ‘single winner’ or ‘shared jackpot’ type.

As expected, some players love the bigger chance to win, provided by the ‘shared jackpot’ option, while others are laser-focused on being alone at the top and snatching as big of a reward as possible. This is why ideally operators will keep in mind to switch between the two or create different pots simultaneously.

Let’s talk about ICE 2025. This event is known for pushing the boundaries of the iGaming landscape, while Delasport has built a reputation for its innovations and forward-thinking mindset. What do you have in store for Sports Operators at ICE and 2025 in general?

We’ve been gearing up for ICE 2025 with a clear mission: to showcase our ongoing commitment to innovation and, more importantly, to give operators the tools they need to stand out in a highly competitive space. The highlight of our presence at ICE is the exclusive Delasport ICE SuperPot tournament – a thrilling, industry-first jackpot experience designed specifically for ICE attendees. This is our way of letting operators and partners experience firsthand how this product can engage players.

Looking ahead to 2025, we’ve got a packed roadmap with significant enhancements to our sportsbook solution. We’re launching a new, streamlined Bet Slip that will simplify the user experience and improve conversion rates.

Our Edit Bet feature will give players even more control over their bets, allowing them to adjust active wagers in real time.
We’re also doubling down on our horseracing offerings to cater to that passionate audience now that we’ve expanded our sources even further.

It’s important to also note that we’ve made major improvements to our Bet Builder, which will soon support more sports and player-specific markets.

Add to that our Odds Boost feature – where operators will be able to highlight boosted odds across selected events — and the Auto Cashout option, which guarantees players more flexibility in managing their bets.

We’re focused on providing operators with tools to increase player engagement, drive retention, and maximize revenue. That’s what 2025 is all about for Delasport – taking things a step further in every aspect of the sportsbook experience.
