Snooker pro suspended as betting probe launched

Professional snooker player Joe Jogia, currently ranked 47 in the world, has been suspended by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) following the launch of a betting probe into a snooker match which took place earlier this year in January.

Bookmakers reported unusual betting patterns in a match beyween Jogia and Matthew Selt which was due to take place at the Snooker Shoot Out in Blackpool on Saturday January 28th.
