Tatts Group sues Victoria government for compensation

Australia’s Tatts Group Limited has commenced legal proceedings against the Victorian government for some AUD$500m in compensation following the expiry of its gaming operator's licence yesterday.

The proceedings follow the loss last year of a duopoly held by Tatts and Tabcorp over the operation of 27,500 poker machines across the state of Victoria. Clubs and hotels will now operate the poker machines.
