Opposition mounts to NJ Lottery privatisation plan

New Jersey’s Assembly Budget Committee has advanced a bill that would prohibit the privatisation of the New Jersey Lottery without the prior approval of the state legislature.

The bill was introduced by Assembly Democrats who oppose the privatisation of what they describe as one of the state’s “most profitable and well-run assets”.
