Sweden introduces new regulations to combat problem gambling

Sweden has introduced draft regulations that will require gaming operators to submit a gambling impact assessment report to regulators prior to the launch of any new game.The new regulations, which have been notified to the European Commission, apply to remote and electronic lotteries and are subject to standstill period ending June 24th, 2013.According to Swedish gambling regulator Lotteriinspektionen, the new regulations “will contribute to minimising the risk of gambling and lotteries having harmful social effects, [...]
