FDJ wins civil case brought by disgruntled scratchcard player

Robert Riblet, the 67 year old Frenchman who has waged a 12-year battle against Française des Jeux (FDJ), says he will continue his fight, despite losing a civil case against the company last week.

The civil court in Nanterre ruled on Friday that Riblet had failed to demonstrate that the role of chance in scratchcard games had been manipulated by FDJ. He was ordered to pay €10,000 in damages plus €10,000 in legal costs.
