UK snooker pro banned for 12 years for match-fixing

UK professional snooker player Stephen Lee has been suspended for twelve years after being found guilty of seven charges of match-fixing earlier this month.

Lee had been found guilty of match-fixing during seven matches at the Malta Cup 2008, the UK Championships 2008, the China Open 2009 and the World Championships 2009.

At a hearing yesterday, independent QC Adam Lewis delivered his decision, having found Lee guilty of the charges earlier this month.
