Teufelberger and Bodner acquitted of French monopoly violations

bwin.party chief executive Norbert Teufelberger and the former co-CEO of bwin Manfred Bodner have been acquitted of charges of violating the French gambling monopolies held by La Française des Jeux (FDJ) and Pari-Mutuel Urbain (PMU) between 2003 and 2005.

The case was heard in a court in the commune of Nanterre, near Paris, with France’s public prosecutor pursuing fines of €40,000 against each defendant after the original complainants, FDJ and PMU, withdrew their complaints.
