Casino games supplier RubyPlay has secured licence approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The licence allows the Malta-based company to roll out its portfolio of games to licensed operators in Canada’s second-largest province.
RubyPlay’s expansion into Canada follows its entry into the United States in January through deals with Rush Street Interactive’s (RSI) BetRivers brand and FanDuel in New Jersey.
“Our goal at RubyPlay is to bring our expansive portfolio of unique and innovative games to as many players as possible around the world. We’re therefore thrilled to have obtained our Ontario licence and build our reach in Canada,” said RubyPlay chief product officer Eyal Loz.
“RubyPlay has an outstanding track record empowering our partner’s brands through our innovative and time-relevant product offering. We believe that North America will be a strong growth engine for us, where building and maintaining a strong brand is key.”
Ontario’s online gambling market grew by 31 per cent to C$7.84 billion (€5.29 billion) in January, a new monthly wagering high for the Canadian province, and earned operators revenue of C$327.9 million.
