The UK Gambling Commission has joined an informal discussion group of European regulators for the first time, with the prospect of shared liquidity between jurisdictions and unlicensed operators the key topics of discussion.

The British regulator met with representatives from the regulatory authorities of Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal at the group’s third summit which took place earlier this month. The group is designed to facilitate information sharing and develop standards of best practice.
