A Missouri resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to operating an illegal online sports betting business that generated nearly $4m in bets placed during its final year of operation.
Hoang Pham, of Kansas City, pleaded guilty this week before US District Judge Fernando Gaitan to conducting an illegal gambling business and participating in a money laundering conspiracy.
