Digital sports content provider Perform Group has signed a cooperation agreement with FIFA’s betting monitoring subsidiary Early Warning System (EWS) to enhance the integrity of football events.
The agreement includes the integration of data from Perform’s Opta brand, including historical and live performance data into EWS’ integrity monitoring system.
FIFA said the integration will help optimise the detection and analysis of suspicious activities in sports betting, which can be an indicator of manipulation in football matches, including FIFA competitions.
