Efforts to legalise sports betting in New Jersey took another turn Tuesday when the state’s Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association filed a brief for a rehearing before the full Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
The appeal follows the August 25th split ruling by the court which found New Jersey’s 2014 repeal of the ban against sports betting at licenced casinos and racetracks to be in breach of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA).
