Police authorities in South Korea have initiated a formal investigation into allegations of match-fixing and illegal gambling by 26 current and former sportsmen, including eleven professional basketball players.
The investigation was launched after a basketball player had tried to fix a game in February earlier this year in the top tier of the Korean Basketball League.
