The Norwegian Media Authority, Medietilsynet, has written to its counterparts in the United Kingdom, Spain and the Netherlands, seeking their cooperation in restricting gambling advertising broadcast into Norway by television channels based in those countries.
According to the Media Authority, European online gambling operators spent NOK609m (approx. €65m) on ads targeting Norwegian consumers in 2015, up from NOK423m in 2014.
