Former international footballer charged with match-fixing

Delroy Facey, a former Premier League striker and international footballer for Grenada, has been charged with conspiracy to commit bribery following an investigation into match-fixing.

Huddersfield native Facey, who had been working as a football agent, has been officially charged after the UK Crown Prosecution Service’s Organised Crime Division said that there is a realistic prospect of conviction.

He will appear at Cannock Magistrates Court on September 2nd.
