NJ regulator to allow use of celebrity ambassadors to promote online poker

New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has proposed a range of amendments to the state’s online gaming legislation, most notably allowing operators to use celebrities or poker professionals to participate in peer to peer games for advertising purposes.

This would allow poker operators to use paid celebrity brand ambassadors to generate publicity for their sites, with the stars’ accounts to be funded in whole or in part by the company if NJAC 13:690-1.4(u) is passed into law.
