The International Ski Federation (FIS) has banned six individuals from participating in its events after they were found to have colluded to fix the outcome of races.

The match-fixing scandal first came to light this summer after Slovenia's Ski Association suspended four officials for their part in fixing race results to enable the famous violinist Vanessa Mae to qualify for the Sochi Winter Games.
