A New Jersey Senator and former mayor of Atlantic City has announced his intention to introduce a bill to regulate daily fantasy sports (DFS) in the state, citing the recent insider trading allegations as grounds for action.

In a letter to Division of Gaming Enforcement director Dave Rebuck and Casino Control Commission chair Matt Levinson, Senator Jim Whelan said that the meteoric rise of fantasy sports and the large sums of money being won had led to accusations of insider information and corruption that could hurt consumers.
