Kenya's ruling National Alliance party (TNA) ratified a 35 per cent tax on all gambling activities in the country just ahead of its parliamentary recess on Friday June 16th.
The new rate represents a significant hike on the original tax rates, which ranged from 5 per cent to 15 per cent of gross gaming revenue, and applies to any income generated through gambling, including player winnings.
