Tennis continues to dominate suspicious betting alerts

Sports betting integrity body ESSA has revealed that a total of 72 cases of suspicious betting were flagged for investigation during the third quarter of 2017.

Tennis once again generated the highest number of suspicious bet alerts at 46, followed by football and table tennis with eight cases each, four for basketball, and two each for badminton, snooker and volleyball.

Overall this represents an increase of 36 per cent compared to the previous quarter’s 53 suspicious betting alerts.
