Australia’s Queensland and NSW to introduce gambling point of consumption tax

The Australian states of Queensland and New South Wales have agreed to implement a new point of consumption tax on wagering operators.

Queensland's deputy premier and treasurer Jackie Trad confirmed that the state's 2018-19 budget will include a 15 per cent tax on net wagering revenue from October 1st.
