Bulgaria notifies gambling act amendments to European Commission

The Bulgarian government has notified the European Commission of proposed changes to the country's gambling legislation that will restrict the sale of gambling products to licensed outlets and further tighten gambling advertising rules.

The proposed amendments to the Gambling Act are in response to the rise in the number of unlicensed outlets that sell lottery tickets and scratchcards, thereby increasing the risk of fraud or parallel accounting.
