Grassroots poker advocacy group the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) has urged its members to step up the fight against “crony capitalism” after ten Republican US Attorneys General called on vice president-elect Mike Pence and the Trump transition team to outlaw online gambling in the United States.

In a letter to Pence, the attorneys general expressed their “deep concern” over the current interpretation of the Wire Act of 1961 – which states that the legislation only applies to sports wagering - allowing New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada to regulate various forms of iGaming.
