Casino games developer Pragmatic Play has been approved to offer its services to companies in the UK by the Gambling Commission.

The supplier, which was acquired by investment firm IBID Group in July last year, has been awarded a remote gambling software operating licence.

"The UK market is one of the world's largest and most respected," Pragmatic Play head of business development Yossi Barzely said.

"It has exacting regulation, player protection, social responsibility and technical standards and we are very proud as a business to have been entrusted with a remote gambling software operating license by the Commission."

The company already holds licences from the Malta Gaming Authority, Romania's ONJN, Italian regulator AAMS, as well as approval from the Government of Curaçao and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.

"It is part of our continued regulatory and technical compliance strategy and demonstrates that we are fast becoming the global player of choice for significant B2C gaming brands, which allows our current and the future UK licensed customers a complete array of UK certified gaming products to go to market with," Barzely added.
