Paul Scholes fined £8,000 for breaching FA betting rules

Former Manchester United and England midfielder Paul Scholes has been fined £8,000 after admitting an FA misconduct charge in relation to betting.

Scholes was charged earlier this year with misconduct pursuant to FA Rule E1(b) in respect of 140 bets he placed on football matches between 17 August 2015 and 12 January 2019, at a time when he was director of Salford City FC.
