Efforts to revitalise New Jersey’s ailing gaming industry suffered another setback Tuesday after a federal district court judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by Senator Raymond Lesniak, iMEGA and a number of horse racing groups against the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA).
Lesniak initiated the suit in March 2009, challenging the constitutionality of PASPA which prohibits any US state with the exception of Nevada, Delaware, Montana and Oregon from permitting sports betting.
