In a significant blow to the Netherlands government, the Dutch Council of State has this morning ruled in favour of British betting provider Betfair in its dispute over the company’s right to provide gambling services to Dutch citizens.
Betfair has been embroiled in a legal dispute with the Netherlands government since 2004 over the company's right to offer gambling services to Dutch citizens under Article 49 of the European Treaty.
