MEPs urge stronger cooperation on online gambling

In a non-legislative resolution passed Thursday, Internal Market Committee MEPs rejected the idea of a European law to regulate online gambling and said that EU Member States should be free to maintain their own rules on online gambling.

The committee said however that EU Member States should step up European-wide cooperation to counter the black market and protect children and vulnerable consumers.
