Lawmakers in Maine passed legislation Friday to regulate retail and online sports betting, with the bill now submitted to Governor Janet Mills for final approval.
The sports betting bill was the subject of numerous amendments prior to its passage Friday and now excludes gaming entities licensed in other US jurisdictions from the list of eligible mobile licensees, tying sports betting operations to existing retail venues in the state.
