Shares in Tabcorp Holdings soared by more than 23 per cent in Sydney on Monday after the company was awarded a new 20-year wagering and betting licence by the Government of Victoria.
Following a competitive selection process involving rival Sportsbet, Tabcorp retained the rights to conduct betting activities across the Australian state, including the sole authorisation (outside of Victoria’s racetracks) to take bets in-person at TABs, pubs and clubs.
