Australian and US sportsbook operator PointsBet has been granted license approval to provide online and retail sports betting in Colorado.

The operator has received an Internet Sports Betting Operator License and a Sports Betting Operator License from the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission (CLGCC), which are initially valid until March 2022.

The licenses allow PointsBet and partner Double Eagle Hotel and Casino to launch sports betting in the state in May under legislation that was signed into law by Governor Jared Polis in May 2019.
