Australia’s ACMA warns Channel Nine over gambling advertising breach

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has issued a warning to national broadcaster Channel Nine for breaching gambling regulations during online streams of the 2019 NRL State of Origin rugby league series.

An investigation by the ACMA found that Nine aired gambling advertisements during the pre-game programming for State of Origin games One and Two on its streaming platform 9Now last June.
