The Illinois Gaming Board published emergency rules Thursday to allow sportsbooks to operate under different brands.
Illinois regulations previously only allowed internet and mobile sports betting operations to be conducted under the brand of a master licensee, or a brand owned by a company that owns at least an 80 per cent interest in the licensee, with these licenses restricted to the state’s casinos, racetracks and sports facilities.
