Toronto-listed supplier Pollard Banknote has secured the right to develop lottery products based on the classic holiday movie A Christmas Story.

The agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products expands Pollard’s portfolio of licensed brand offerings and enables it to develop games based on the 1983 film starring Peter Billingsley as Ralphie.

“With its memorable cast of characters and iconic imagery, A Christmas Story presents many exciting creative options for lotteries,” said Pollard.

“Pollard Banknote’s Licensed Products team will offer a full turnkey program that includes the design, programming, and printing of themed tickets, as well as various options such as second chance draws, a POS program, and broadcast and digital marketing.”

Shares in Pollard Banknote Ltd. (TSX:PBL) closed in Toronto Wednesday down 2.31 per cent at CAD$22.80 per share.
