US Tribal Gaming: another record year
Tribal gaming operations in the US set a new revenue record of $46.16 billion in 2025, up by 5 per cent and passing $45 billion for the first time.
There were 545 tribal gaming operations in 29 states in 2025, but revenue was concentrated in a minority of operators, with $37.02 billion (80 per cent) earned by just 113 operators (21 per cent).
More than half of tribal gaming operations (54 per cent) reported annual revenue of less than $25 million in 2025.
Overall, there is little evidence that tribal gaming revenue has been harmed by competition from regulated sports betting and iGaming in the US’s commercial sector.
Tribal gaming’s year-on-year growth rate for 2025 was its highest in the last decade, excluding the disruption of the pandemic in 2020/21.
