UK bookmaker William Hill has signed up to become the official betting partner of the Elite Legends Cup, a UK-based tournament featuring former professional footballers organised by Football30 Limited (F30).

The tournament sees teams of eleven play a half-hour match on a full-size pitch, and is contested by former professional footballers.

The game is designed to be as fast-paced and action-packed as possible, with roll-on roll-off substitutions, short corners and a revised offside rule.

Under the terms of the partnership, William Hill will offer odds on the tournament matches, which will be played at Leyton Orient’s Matchroom Stadium on May 18th.

Former England international footballer and manager Glenn Hoddle serves as technical director of F30.

Commenting on the partnership with William Hill, Hoddle said: “We recognise that there are a lot of supporters who like to place a bet and to bring that to our legends tournament will mean we are catering for everyone.”

William Hill head of public relations Jem Maidment said he was delighted to be part of what he called “a fantastic day of competitive football.”

The tournament will be contested by former stars of London clubs West Ham United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

Players set to appear at the event include former West Ham striker Paolo di Canio, while England midfielder Paul Merson and defender Martin Keown will both play for the Arsenal team.

The Tottenham Hotspur team is to be captained by Champions League-winning striker Teddy Sheringham, and Chelsea legends Tore Andre Flo, Gianfranco Zola and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will all take part.
