Williams Interactive, the iGaming subsidiary of US gaming and lottery supplier Scientific Games Corporation, has added to its Game Server library with the launch of an online slot based on Hasbro's popular board game Yahtzee.

The game is the first to be released under an expanded licensing agreement signed between Hasbro and Scientific Games in January this year. The deal, extending the relationship from 2017 to 2020 with the option for a three-year extension, allows the supplier and its subsidiaries to distribute Hasbro games across real-money and social casino channels.

Both Scientific Games and WMS, which was acquired by the supplier last year, have previously held portfolio licensing agreements with Hasbro since 2003 and 1997 respectively.

The Yahtzee online slot is based on an existing land-based slot machine game that has been optimised for play styles and preferences of online casino customers.

It comes with a special mechanic in its Yahtzee Party Bonus feature that allows players to save bonus triggers for use at any point, allowing low stakes players to win larger amounts.

Williams Interactive director of casino products Tom Wood commented that he was thrilled to have Yahtzee become the first online, Hasbro-branded game to be rolled out by the supplier.

“With multiple exciting bonuses and a unique ‘store your bonus’ mechanic, we expect the Yahtzee game to appeal to a wide range of players with multiple motivations and game preferences,” Wood added.

Yahtzee is now available for all Williams Interactive’s European customers integrated with its Remote Game Server.
