Efforts to merge Swedish online gaming industry group Branschföreningen för Onlinespel (BOS) with the country’s gambling ethics council SPER have been halted after the two bodies failed to agree on a common self-regulatory framework.
The two industry bodies signed a Memorandum of Understanding in July this year, agreeing to develop a system of self-regulation and to merge the two organisations into a single industry body representing the Swedish gambling market.
