CrownBet, the Australian online bookmaker formerly known as BetEasy, has entered into a partnership with Country Racing Victoria (CRV) to support and promote rural horse racing in the state.

The deal sees CrownBet become the online betting agency of choice for CRV, offering customers access to exclusive offers and a wide range of products across racing and sports. It will also provide a series of promotions on feature races held in the annual Spring Carnival.

CRV believes that as the only fully Australian-owned and operated online bookmaker, CrownBet is an “ideal fit for the quintessentially Australian sport of country racing.”

“We’re delighted to team up with CrownBet as our new wagering partner,” CRV marketing manager Darren Galley said. “We hope our customers will make full use of their offers and expertise when they have a bet on the country races.

“They’ve already shown their willingness to support country racing in Victoria and we look forward to working with them to do just that.”

As part of the deal the operator becomes a major partner of the Country Racing Victoria Awards, due to be held later this month, and will sponsor the feature awards named the CrownBet Country Club of the Year and the CrownBet Country Horse of the Year.

“We’re delighted to form this partnership with Country Racing Victoria, they’re a significant contributor to the Australian wagering landscape,” CrownBet founder and chief executive Matt Tripp said.

“We’re looking forward to our involvement in the awards night, which celebrates the great things country racing has achieved in the racing season.”

The deal further strengthens CrownBet’s portfolio of wagering partnerships following its success over the likes of Sportsbet and William Hill to replace Tabcorp as the official betting partner of the Australian Football League.

CrownBet is also an approved betting partner of the National Rugby League, Football Federation Australia, Tennis Australia, Cricket Australia and Netball Australia.
