Google is introducing much tighter advertising restrictions for high risk financial trading products alongside an outright ban on binary options products and cryptocurrencies.
The search and advertising giant's financial services policy is being updated to restrict ads for contracts for difference (CFD), rolling spot forex, and financial spread betting.
Beginning in June, advertisers offering CFDs, rolling spot forex, and financial spread betting will have to be certified by Google before they can advertise through AdWords.
